Director, Office of Acquisition Management and Head of Contracting Activity (HCA), Ashley J. Lewis
Ashley Lewis currently serves as the director, Office of Acquisition Management and head of contracting activity (HCA) for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). As director, Ms. Lewis oversees an authorized workforce of just over 240 employees engaged in procurement operations throughout the United States. The ICE Office of Acquisition Management processes over 11,000 transactions annually valued at approximately $2.5 billion in support of the ICE mission.
Prior to her appointment as director, Ms. Lewis served as the DHS director of acquisition policy and oversight. Ms. Lewis has served DHS since its inception and was instrumental in establishing the organizational structure, staffing, and operating policies and procedures for the department’s Office of the Chief Procurement Officer (CPO).
Ms. Lewis served 12 years with the U.S. Coast Guard acquisition community in both operational contracting and policy positions. Her initial appointment in contracting was with the Department of the Navy where she supported the Naval Air Systems community for 10 years.
