Senior Counselor to the Assistant Secretary, Beth Gibson

Senior Counselor to the Assistant Secretary, Erik Barnett Beth Gibson currently serves as Senior Counselor to the Assistant Secretary of Homeland Security for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

Prior to ICE, Gibson served as Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Eastern District of Virginia since 2006. In this position, she prosecuted criminal cases and coordinated immigration policies.From 1999 to 2006, Ms. Gibson served in the Executive Office for Immigration Review's General Counsel's Office in a variety of capacities.

She received an undergraduate degree in 1993 at James Madison University; a Masters degree in 1995 from Western Kentucky University; and a Juris Doctorate in 1999 from the Louis D. Brandeis School of Law at the University of Louisville. Ms. Gibson is a member of the Kentucky Bar.
