The ICE International Presence
ICE has 54 offices in 42 countries around the world, with more than 300 government and contract personnel and local employees committed to the OIA mission. ICE OIA operations are directed by ICE attachés, whose responsibilities include:
- Coordinating investigations with foreign law enforcement counterparts;
- Acquiring and developing intelligence related to cross-border criminal activities involving people, goods and technology;
- Providing investigative case support to domestic and international ICE offices;
- Referring requests from host country agencies to ICE domestic investigative offices; and
- Assisting in removal operations by coordinating ICE efforts to transport removed aliens to their countries of origin.
