Cooperation with international law enforcement partners is crucial to the success of ICE investigations all over the world. In furtherance of such cooperation, the International Visitors Program (IVP), spearheaded by ICE International Operations, coordinates meetings between international law enforcement, government and industry partners and ICE personnel on topics such as human trafficking and smuggling, counter-proliferation efforts, forced child labor, child exploitation, bulk cash smuggling and other issues.
The IVP enables ICE to cultivate and maintain important relationships with foreign counterparts. These visits facilitate the exchange of information and build professional rapport between ICE and foreign counterparts who support ICE’s mission abroad, and often lead to joint participation in international operations and investigations.
Ultimately, the opportunity to address key border and investigative issues aids the United States and our allies in the effort to promote security worldwide.
