July 2, 2013 – ICE's top 10 high profile removals

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) protects the United States by promoting homeland security and public safety through the criminal and civil enforcement of federal laws governing border control, customs, trade and immigration. July 2, 2013 – ICE deports MS-13 gang member wanted for 4 murders in El Salvador

A Filipino national who pleaded guilty last year to federal charges arising from his role in a scheme to illegally export military aircraft parts from the U.S. to Iran was removed to the Philippines June 26 by officers from ICE’s Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO). Full Story

July 5, 2013 – ICE arrests 67 child predators in New York operation

A Mexican man wanted in his native country on murder and torture charges was turned over to Mexican law enforcement authorities at the Dennis DeConcini port of entry June 21 by ERO officers. Full Story

July 1, 2013 – Ex-head of San Diego Customs Brokers Association sentenced for evading duties on millions worth of foreign-made goods

U.S. and Mexican authorities shut down an incomplete cross-border drug smuggling tunnel following its discovery June 25 during a routine, bi-national inspection of the city’s main storm drain system. The inspection was conducted by HSI-led Nogales Tunnel Task Force and U.S. Border Patrol, in partnership with Mexican federal police. Full Story
