An El Salvadoran national residing in Hyattsville, Md., wanted in Santa Barbara, Calif., for aggravated sexual assault on a child under 14 years of age and forcible rape was arrested by officers from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's (ICE) Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO). Feb. 27, 2013 – 29 taken into custody in southeast Texas in massive racketeering indictment, including 17 former state correction officers

A sealed indictment charging numerous defendants with racketeering violations was unsealed following their recent arrests throughout the Southern District of Texas and elsewhere. A federal grand jury returned a 17-count indictment Wednesday charging an El Paso attorney with a multi-million dollar wire fraud and money laundering scheme. Full Story
