JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - A Jacksonville man, 29, was indicted by a federal grand jury on child pornography charges following a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) investigation.
Matthew Brewer had his initial appearance earlier today on a charge of possession of child pornography and faces a maximum penalty of 10 years in federal prison.
According to the indictment, on Nov. 13, 2008, Brewer knowingly possessed numerous videos and images on a computer hard drive depicting minors engaging in sexually explicit conduct.
U. S. Attorney A. Brian Albritton commended the investigative efforts of ICE's Office of Investigations in Jacksonville.
The case is being prosecuted by Assistant U. S. Attorney D. Rodney Brown.
