Pa. man charged with multiple child pornography offenses

PHILADELPHIA — A Pennsylvania man was charged Thursday with receipt, distribution and possession of child pornography. The investigation was conducted by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Philadelphia.

Ian H. Ranberg, 47, of Sounderton, was charged with receiving images of child pornography between May 23 and May 29, 2012, and between Aug. 19 and Sept. 19, 2012. According to the indictment, on Feb. 2, Ranberg distributed a video containing child pornography. The indictment also alleges on Aug. 21, Ranberg possessed child pornography on his computers and external hard drives.

If convicted of the charges, Ranberg faces up to 70 years in prison, a possible lifetime of supervised release and fines of up to $1 million.

A defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
