Core Values
OSLC’s core values mirror those of ICE. OSLC will integrate these core values as it expands as an organization and hires and trains staff to accommodate that growth.
As taken directly from the draft ICE Strategic Plan for FY 2009 - 2014, ICE’s core values are:
- Duty – ICE is committed to the American people and to executing its duties and responsibilities.
- Respect – ICE highly values each individual’s liberties and the relationships it builds with its customers, partners, and stakeholders.
- Innovation – ICE identifies and explores uncharted opportunities to enhance homeland security, and encourages and recognizes original thought among its employees to foster a creative environment.
- Vigilance – ICE relentlessly seeks to identify and deter threats to the safety and security of American people by remaining constantly on guard against anything or anyone that threatens U.S. values and way of life.
- Excellence – ICE strives for perfection, aspiring to the highest standards of performance, professionalism, and leadership to both enforce the rules of law and adhere to it.
