- Synopsis:
- A federal indictment by the U.S. District Court, Seattle, Washington, charged Grewal with conspiracy to export cocaine. The indictment was the result of an investigation that revealed that Grewal was employed by the Canadian Border Services Agency. Grewal allowed recreational vehicles to enter British Columbia from the United States through the Lynden/Aldergrove Port of Entry knowing that the vehicles contained smuggled cocaine. Grewal informed the smuggling organization when he was working and when it was clear to proceed into Canada with the smuggled cocaine. It is estimated that Grewal allowed well over 2,500 kilograms of cocaine to pass into Canada. Grewal was paid $50,000 per load; Grewal is personally connected to over 20 loads. Grewal is currently a fugitive from justice.
