On Nov. 8, 2013, HSI special agents arrested Dolores Pagan-Lozada at his place of residence after an HSI investigation, which stemmed from a referral by the Puerto Rico Police Department, revealed that he engaged in sexually explicit conversations with a 16-year-old minor identified as Jane Doe.

Glenn Bailey, 56, is alleged to have knowingly possessed videos and images of child pornography, including images which depict prepubescent minors and minors who have not attained 12 years of age. The content was then allegedly shipped and transported in interstate or foreign commerce by means of a computer. If convicted, he faces a maximum total sentence of 20 years in prison, a fine of $250,000, or both.

Victor Duane Smith, 59, was sentenced by Judge Anthony W. Ishii, who also ordered the defendant to pay $5,000 to a child shown in five of the images he received. According to court documents, in July 2013, law enforcement began tracking an individual who was using the Fresno County Public Library's public wireless system to view child pornography through a file-sharing program. Investigators were able to watch Smith in the library while he used the program. Smith later confessed to the offense.

A federal grand jury returned a four-count indictment Thursday charging former Illinois State Rep. Keith Farnham with possessing, receiving and transporting child pornography. Farnham was initially charged with one count of possessing child pornography in a criminal complaint filed last month in U.S. District Court.

The operation was launched by the Online Child Pornography and Hatred Crimes Unit and is part of a series of actions taken to prevent online child pornography and child sex exploitation in Brazil. According to Brazilian authorities, at least six individuals were arrested for the possession of child pornography and 100 individuals were arrested for suspicion of child pornography during the last three operations launched by the DPF. From January 2013 to May 2014, DPF opened 1,441 cases investigating child pornography in Brazil.

Daniel Joseph Dalton, 38, pleaded guilty in January to possessing sexually explicit images of minors. He was reported to police by a computer technician who discovered more than 300 videos of suspected child pornography on Dalton's computer, which he had dropped off at a local computer repair shop.

Jared Tyler Allen, 28, of Fargo, was sentenced to 114 months for receiving and possessing material involving the sexual exploitation of minors. This case came to the attention of law enforcement after officers working on the North Dakota Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force discovered evidence indicating a computer in North Dakota was sharing child pornography via a peer-to-peer (P2P) network.

Gregory Bogomol, 38, of Fort Worth, was arrested May 15 by special agents with U.S. Immigration and Customs and Enforcement's (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) on a federal criminal complaint charging him with possessing child pornography. U.S. Attorney Sarah R. Saldaña of the Northern District of Texas announced this arrest.

Robert Dale Schrader, 33, of Littlerock, California, pleaded guilty to the charge before U.S. District Judge Gary A. Feess, who scheduled a sentencing hearing for Aug. 18. At sentencing, Schrader faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 15 years in federal prison, and he could be ordered to serve up to 30 years in custody.

According to documents filed in the case, law enforcement received information from the Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Cyber Crimes Center identifying an offender in the Dallas area. The investigation led law enforcement to secure and execute a search warrant at the residence of Donald Record, 52, of Dallas, on March 6.

According to the indictment, during March 2014, Kervin Ruiz-Colon, 54, attempted to transfer sexually explicit photographs to a minor whom he believed to be 13-years-old. Ruiz-Colon had his initial hearing Monday before U.S. Magistrate Sylvia Carreño Coll, who scheduled his preliminary hearing for May 28. He was ordered held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Guaynabo.
