Jan. 17, 2014 – California man who fled to Mexico is latest fugitive added to ICE app to locate at-large child sex predators

A Mexican national residing in Modesto, Calif., who absconded to Mexico following his arrest Dec. 4 for sexual abuse of a minor, is the latest fugitive to be profiled on the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) smartphone app, seeking public tips on at-large and unknown child predator suspects. Jan. 14, 2014 – ICE deports Mexican mass murder suspect captured in northern California

A Mexican national captured in Madera three months ago, who is charged with a mass murder in his native country, was turned over Jan. 14 to Mexican law enforcement personnel at a San Diego-area border crossing by officers from ICE’s Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO). Full Story

Jan. 14, 2014 – ICE returns recovered, 'most wanted' stolen antiquities to India

ICE’s Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) returned three recovered sculptures, valued at more than $1.5 million, to the government of India Jan. 14 during a repatriation ceremony at the consulate in New York City. One of the objects – a 350-pound sandstone sculpture stolen from an Indian temple in 2009 – was listed as one of INTERPOL's top 10 most wanted stolen works of art. Full Story

A Mexican national wanted in Mexico for aggravated homicide was returned Jan. 15 by ERO officers in Washington, and turned over to Mexico police at the Gateway International Bridge in Brownsville, Texas. Full Story
