Mar. 5, 2013 – 2 brothers and hit-man convicted of racketeering and murder conspiracies involving Chicago false ID document ring

Three local men are facing mandatory life imprisonment after a federal jury found them guilty Monday of racketeering conspiracy, murder in aid of racketeering, and related crimes after a six-week trial in U.S. District Court. A Mexican citizen was sentenced for traveling into the United States with the intent to engage in illicit sexual conduct, announced U.S. Attorney Kenneth Magidson, Southern District of Texas. Mar. 7, 2013 – MS-13 gang leader pleads guilty to racketeering and murder conspiracy charges

The former leader of the Flushing, Queens, chapter of the violent international gang La Mara Salvatrucha, also known as MS-13, pleaded guilty to racketeering and murder conspiracy charges. This plea stems from an investigation by ICE's HSI and the Yonkers (N.Y.) Police Department. Full Story

Mar. 8, 2013 – Criminal alien child molester pleads guilty to illegally re-entering US

A Honduran criminal alien convicted of child molestation in Florida pleaded guilty to a felony charge of illegally re-entering the United States following a prior removal. ICE's Enforcement and Removal Operations arrested the man March 26, 2012, in Jefferson Parish as part of Operation Cross Check, which is a national ICE initiative targeting fugitive aliens. Full Story
