Aleman-Rodriguez has a criminal history dating back to 1995. ICE previously removed him to Mexico in October 2004 after he was ordered removed by an immigration judge.
On March 1, 2017, the Pacific Enforcement Response Center lodged a detainer on Aleman-Rodriguez, following his arrest in Cook County, Illinois, for driving under the influence. On March 10, 2017, the Cook County Circuit Court convicted Aleman for the offense of reckless driving and sentenced him to supervision. On that same day, Cook County did not honor the ICE detainer and released Aleman back into the community. He remains at-large.
