Christian Alexander Augustus, 23, a.k.a. “Sir Ceeco,” was arrested in Stockton on Monday. He made his initial appearance in U.S. District Court in Sacramento on August 28, and was ordered detained pending trial. He remains in federal custody in Sacramento and will be transferred to this district at a later date to face the charges against him.

The case, which is the result of a three-year undercover probe conducted by HSI with substantial assistant from the DMV’s Investigations division, revealed that many of the ring’s customers were previously deported felons. Federal prosecutors have filed charges against three people believed to be customers of the identity theft ring, and authorities are seeking to take those individuals into custody.

Robert Harold Dolin, 55, of Irvine, pleaded guilty to one count of possessing child pornography in January. He was sentenced Monday morning by U.S. District Judge James V. Selna, who wrote in his sentencing memorandum that "possession of child pornography – especially material that involves prepubescent minor and masochistic or violent conduct is a real crime with real victims. It is serious and it must be deterred."

Robert Ruben Ornelas, 65, of Santa Ana, a onetime school teacher and girls’ softball coach, was found guilty Thursday of seven counts – two counts of engaging in sexual conduct in a foreign place, three counts of producing child pornography, and two counts of possessing child pornography.

Nader Elhuzayel, 25 of Anaheim, was sentenced by U.S. District Judge David O. Carter. The sentencing followed Elhuzayel’s conviction in June at the conclusion of a two-week trial that ended with a federal jury returning guilty verdicts against Elhuzayel and his co-defendant Muhanad Badawi. In addition to the terrorism counts, the jury also found Elhuzayel guilty of committing 26 counts of bank fraud and found Badawi guilty of one count of financial aid fraud.
