HSI Flagstaff, multiagency task force arrest Arizona man for sex crimes against children

HOLBROOK, Ariz. — In early September, Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Flagstaff and a multiagency task force arrested a northern Arizona man for sexual exploitation of a minor. This case was investigated by the Navajo County Major Crimes Apprehension Team with help from HSI special agents.

According to law enforcement officials, Joshuah Cruz Eberhart, 24, of Clay Springs, sent sexually explicit material involving a minor over the internet.

Officers and special agents conducted an extensive and thorough investigation resulting in numerous search warrants, which turned up enough evidence to arrest Eberhart.

On Aug. 22, a Navajo County grand jury issued 11 indictments on sex-related charges. He is currently being held on a $50,000 cash-only bond for the first charge and a $2,500 secured bond for the other 10 counts.

“The partnership between the Navajo County Sheriff’s Office and Homeland Security Investigations was critical to the successful investigation, charging and removal of this child predator in our community,” said Sheriff David M. Clouse.
