ICE computer forensic analyst featured on PBS 'This Old House'

A computer forensic analyst for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) appeared on an episode of Public Broadcasting Service's "This Old House" May 6.

Justin Gaertner, who has worked at ICE since he graduated from the Human Exploitation Rescue Operative (HERO) Corps inaugural class in October 2013, discussed topics including his duties at ICE combating child exploitation, how he's overcome his combat injuries suffered in Afghanistan and his new Americans with Disabilities Act-compliant home.

The HERO Corps Program is designed for wounded, injured and ill military veterans to receive training in high-tech computer forensics and law enforcement skills to assist federal agents in the fight against online child sexual exploitation.

ICE's Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) developed the program in conjunction with the Defense Department's Special Operations Command and the National Association to Protect Children.
