ICE investigation leads to 20-year prison sentence for man who sold fentanyl that caused fatal overdoses

BUFFALO, N.Y. — Davon Mitchell was sentenced July 28 to serve 20 years in prison after he admitted to distributing fentanyl that resulted in the overdose deaths of two individuals; and selling fentanyl that resulted in the non-fatal overdose of another individual on three occasions.

The 35-year-old Buffalo resident’s sentence was the result of his conviction for conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute and to distribute fentanyl, and possession of a firearm in furtherance of drug trafficking crimes.
