Man from Dominican Republic charged with illegal re-entry

PHILADELPHIA — A citizen of the Dominican Republic was charged Thursday with illegal re-entry into the United States. The investigation was conducted by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's (ICE) Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) in Philadelphia.

Pichoch Herrera-Ortega, aka "Pedro Ortega-Rondon," aka "Pedro Rondon-Silvestre," aka "Jose Rivera," aka "Omar Rivera," aka "Omar Acevado," 35, of Philadelphia, was originally removed from the country in December 2011. He faces up to 20 years in prison.

A defendant is presumed to be innocent unless and until found guilty in court.
