The HSI Academy at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) is responsible for training HSI special agents to conduct a wide array of criminal investigations. A core element of the HSI Academy is the HSI Special Agent Training program, which is completed by all new HSI special agents at the training center in Glynco, Georgia. The HSI Academy is also responsible for hosting International Task Force Agent Training, as well as advanced training courses that allow HSI special agents to expand and refine their skills and expertise through specialized training in specific programmatic areas. The HSI Academy also oversees and manages HSI’s investiture programs, including the HSI Citizen’s Academy, Headquarters Orientation program, Family Orientation program and Professional Leadership and Development training.
Throughout the years, the HSI Academy has trained thousands of HSI special agents and international partners, giving them the foundation to fully develop their careers and to conduct and support successful investigations. The HSI Academy will continue to develop new programs and incorporate new techniques into existing programs to ensure future generations of trainees receive the highest quality and most up-to-date training.
