DENVER - U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents arrested 45 fugitives and immigration violators throughout Colorado during a three-day initiative targeting immigration absconders which ended Thursday.
MESA, Ariz. - A Mexican national with ties to a violent street gang who was previously deported three years ago is facing federal criminal charges today after U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers were alerted to his presence by the Mesa Police Department.
Alan Dario Beltran-Sierra, 25, has been charged with re-entering the United States after removal, a felony violation that carries a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison. Beltran was encountered by the Mesa police during a family dispute call.
LOS ANGELES - U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrested nearly 2,000 gang members and gang associates in the Los Angeles area in 2008 as part of the agency's ongoing national anti-gang effort known as Operation Community Shield.
Carlos Garcia-Hernandez, 19, a citizen of Mexico, was turned over to Mexican officials on the Brownsville International Bridge at approximately 1:00 p.m. Monday. Garcia-Hernandez, a member of the "Houstone" street gang in Houston, Texas, was arrested December 11 after ICE received word that Mexican authorities were seeking him.

NEWARK, NJ - U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) announced today its four New Jersey Fugitive Operations Teams arrested a total of 145 fugitive aliens during a nearly two-week long operation that began October 14 and concluded yesterday.
In New Jersey, of the 145 fugitives arrested, 65 had criminal records. During the operation, an additional 44 immigration violators were arrested, 22 of whom had criminal histories.
PHILADELPHIA - U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) announced today that its fugitive operations teams based in Philadelphia detention and removal office arrested 37 fugitives, which included 14 with criminal records, during a targeted operation which started on October 14th and ended on October 26th. During the operation an additional 62 immigration violators were arrested, 27 with criminal histories. All of the arrests occurred in Pennsylvania and Delaware.
NEW YORK, NY - U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers arrested 96 fugitives and immigration violators in New York and Long Island during a targeted enforcement, which began on October 14th and concluded October 26th.
Of the 96 aliens arrested, 90 were fugitive targets of the operation and 46 of them had criminal histories. Six other immigration violators were also arrested during the operation, all with criminal histories.
