Jose Mendoza, 32, and Natalie Mendoza, 35, of Medanales, New Mexico; Ryan Rodriguez, 27, of Chamita, New Mexico; Andrea Rodriguez, 28, and Edvardo Carlson, 39, of Española, New Mexico; and Bridget Archuleta, 31, of San Juan Pueblo, New Mexico, appeared in federal court Friday for arraignment on an indictment charging them with various drug trafficking offenses involving crack cocaine (cocaine base) in Rio Arriba County, New Mexico, from Oct. 2, 2019, to Feb. 25, 2020.

Erik Molinar-Gonzalez, 32, of Los Lunas, New Mexico, was arrested in September 2015 and charged by criminal complaint with heroin and methamphetamine trafficking offenses. According to the complaint, on Sept. 9, 2015, New Mexico State Police (NMSP) officers found a kilogram of heroin in a vehicle during a traffic stop on Interstate 40 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Richard D. Crisman, 27, of Rio Rancho, N.M., was arraigned on a six-count indictment charging him with six counts of child pornography offenses. The indictment charges Crisman with three counts of receiving a visual depiction of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct, and three counts of possessing visual depictions of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct.

Sean Joseph Peterson, of Louisville, Ky, who crash landed an aircraft carrying 424.8 lbs. of marijuana onto a New Mexico ranch, pleaded guilty Oct. 19 in federal court to drug trafficking charges. Special agents with U.S. ICE's Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) investigated the case.

Pedro Lucero, from Farmington, New Mexico, must also serve three years of supervised release. Lucero was one of 29 individuals charged in February 2014 with drug trafficking resulting from a multi-agency drug-trafficking investigation in northwestern New Mexico.

Francisco Roberto Esquibel, Jr., 34, was charged in a criminal complaint filed June 11, 2015, with being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition. According to the complaint, APD officers found the firearm while arresting Esquibel on an outstanding warrant.

Special agents with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) arrested David Krowner, 42, from Estancia, New Mexico, June 17 after a narcotics canine allegedly detected the odor of illegal drugs in his vehicle.

They were charged Nov. 23, 2015, by criminal complaint with conspiracy and possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, in Bernalillo Country New Mexico.

Chad F. Summers, 40, of Albuquerque, entered a not-guilty plea to the five-count indictment. The indictment charges him with the following crimes: three counts of receiving and one count of possessing child pornography, and one count of being a felon possessing a firearm.

Cory Werito, 32, of Farmington, and Rosita Toledo, 46, of Kirtland, are charged in a 10-count indictment filed June 15. Werito and Toledo were arrested June 28, and made their initial appearances in federal court in Farmington. They remain in custody pending their arraignment and detention hearings, which are set for June 30 in Albuquerque.

Juan Carlos Hernandez, 44, is charged with enticing a minor online to engage in illicit sexual activity, and interstate travel to meet a minor with the intent to engage in illicit sexual activity. He remains in federal custody pending a preliminary hearing and detention hearing, which have yet to be scheduled.

Joseph Ernest Purcella III, 34, from Albuquerque, entered a not-guilty plea during Monday’s arraignment hearing. He was arrested Oct. 30 on a criminal complaint alleging that he unlawfully possessed a firearm and ammunition in Sandoval County, New Mexico, April 7.
