Oscar DeLeon, aka "Shrek," 39, of Laredo, was sentenced by U.S. Circuit Court Judge Gregg Costa to 262 months in federal prison. DeLeon was also ordered him to pay a money judgment of $41,950,000, followed by 10 years of supervised release.

A Whatcom County, Wash., man was sentenced Friday to 9 years in federal prison on Ecstasy distribution charges, following an investigation by U.S. ICE's Homeland Security Investigations (HSI). Harjinder Singh Brar, 36, negotiated with an undercover HSI agent in October at a Bellingham, Wash., Starbucks to sell 200,000 tablets of Ecstasy.

Irineo Ramos, 32, was sentenced Friday by U.S. District Judge Sidney A. Fitzwater to 210 months in federal prison. He pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute methamphetamine. The following four co-defendants also pleaded guilty to that offense and were sentenced to federal prison: Juan Carlos Cruz; Carlos Wences Castaneda; Pablo Ramirez Gallegos; Ismael Perez.

Samuel Velasco Gurrola, 41, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to conduct the affairs of an enterprise through a pattern of racketeering activity. He faces up to life in federal prison when sentenced.

Marcus Taylor, 41, of Sicklerville, pleaded guilty Thursday to distributing and possessing with intent to distribute oxycodone before U.S. District Judge Renee Marie Bumb.

Marco Antonio Gutierrez, 36, of Grants Pass, received a 14-year federal prison sentence, and his brother, Samuel De La Cruz Gutierrez, 43, also of Grants Pass, was sentenced to 10 years.

Senior U.S. District Judge Sam R. Cummings sentenced Leopoldo Herrera-Gandara, aka “Polo,” 33 of Arch, New Mexico, to 121 months in federal prison. Herrera-Gandara pleaded guilty in August to one count of distribution and possession with intent to distribute 50 grams or more of methamphetamine.

U.S. ICE's Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) seized nearly 13 pounds of methamphetamine Wednesday near Amado, Ariz. An HSI agent, working with the Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office and the U.S. Border Patrol, found the drugs after a suspected drug smuggling vehicle was stopped in Nogales as it traveled north on Interstate 19 toward Tucson.

On Feb. 14, following a three-day jury trial, Conrado Depaz Arellano, 48, illegally residing in Carthage, Texas, was found guilty of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute cocaine.  Additionally, on Feb. 12, 2018, Arellano pleaded guilty to being illegally in the United States after having been deported.
