In just a two-week span, fugitive operations officers from ERO Houston and the ERO Waco office successfully apprehended five unlawfully present noncitizens who are currently wanted for murder or homicide in the United States or abroad.

These efforts support the implementation of the Presidential Proclamation announced on June 4, 2024, and joint Department of Homeland Security and Department of Justice Interim Final Rule, Securing the Border, which will significantly streamline the expedited removal process and speed removals for those individuals who do not have a lawful basis to remain in the United States.

 Deportation officers from ERO Boston arrested Yader Alexander Morales-Quevedo, a 24-year-old, Guatemalan noncitizen in New Bedford.

Those included removal flights to Albania, Central America, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Georgia, Mexico, Peru, Romania and Uzbekistan.

Valdeci Passos-Soares was removed from Las Vegas May 31 and transported by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Air Operations to Belo Horizonte, Brazil, and turned over to local authorities in Brazil.

Deportation officers from ERO Boston’s Providence field office apprehended Rigberto Hoyos-Alban, 33, in Cranston May 22.

Enforcement and Removal Operations Philadelphia removed Luciano Silva Santos Jr., a citizen of Brazil with a final order of removal, on May 31.

ERO Philadelphia removed Adilson Rodrigues Dos Santos, a citizen of Brazil with a final order of removal, to Brazil on May 31. Rodrigues is a foreign fugitive wanted by law enforcement authorities in Brazil to serve a conviction for homicide.

Deportation officers from ERO Baltimore’s Fugitive Operations Team arrested Raul Calderon-Interiano, 25, near his residence in Baltimore May 29.

Deportation officers arrested the 34-year-old Russian fugitive near his residence in Chestnut Hill May 20.

ERO Boston apprehended a Brazilian national wanted by authorities in his home country for charges of drug trafficking and robbery by intimidation or violence. 

Dominican authorities charged the Dominican national for injury causing death/manslaughter/murder Sept. 21, 2022, and subsequently issued a warrant for his arrest.

Ismael Adonay Aguilar Cornejo, a 31-year-old Salvadoran national, was flown from Alexandria, Louisiana, on a charter flight coordinated by ICE's Air Operations Unit to the Monsenor Oscar Arnulfo Romero International Airport in San Salvador, El Salvador. Upon arrival, he was turned over to officials from El Salvador’s Civilian National Police.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Chief of Staff Michael D. Lumpkin and Office of Partnership and Engagement Assistant Director Francey Lim Youngberg met with representatives of the Acacia Center for Justice this week.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Deputy Director and Senior Official Performing the Duties of the Director Patrick J. Lechleitner and Enforcement and Removal Operations Executive Associate Director Daniel A. Bible traveled to San Diego this week to meet with ERO and Homeland Security Investigations personnel as they prepare to support operations on the southwest border.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Chief of Staff Michael D. Lumpkin and Office of Partnership and Engagement Assistant Director Francey Lim Youngberg met with representatives from the American Immigration Lawyers Association this week.

Officers from ERO New York City’s Newburgh office arrested the 62-year-old serial offender at the at Otisville Federal Correctional Facility without incident pursuant to a warrant of removal. He will remain in custody pending removal to Mexico.
